This document provides instructions for connecting EVA to the internet using a SIM card and modem, as well as logging into the Drone Deploy portal to control EVA. The document also includes information on controlling EVA's door, lights, and cameras through the ROCOS interface and Xbox controller. EVA connects over cellular, or an ethernet connection depending on environmental needs. To begin the connection process, an activated SIM card has to be inserted into EVA’s cellular modem. Follow the following steps to open, insert the SIM card, and confirm connectivity.

Remove Rear Screws

To open EVA and access the internals, remove the six Philips head screws to free the rear panel.

Remove Back Panel - Locate Modem

Pull off the rear panel. Be cautious: there are cables attached to rear panel cameras! The cellular modem is located on the right-hand side beside the linear actuator.

Insert SIM Card

Using a small Allen key, screwdriver, or another small diameter tool, open the SIM tray and insert an activated SIM card. If a SIM card extender is connected, insert the SIM card into the tray or extended ribbon slot.

Check Internet Connectivity

Internet connectivity can be confirmed by the LED on the modem. If the LED next to the globe icon is illuminated, EVA is connected to the internet.
